Thank you, Jan, for that lovely thought!
Sometimes I worry about not being sure of where I’m heading, but you have reminded me to just enjoy the journey.
Because it’s ok!

Hi Dianne, I’m so glad you liked it. It took some courage to post in a different way, but it seemed right for the message.
As someone who loves ‘process’ above ‘product’, the journey is the best bit for me. There is so much emphasis these days on ‘goals’ and being SMART, that it’s only now I’m able to stand up and say I’m not at all sure where I’m off to, but I’m going to make the journey as happy, colourful, vibrant and meaningful as I can. And I’m so grateful that I can live my life in that way, not everyone in the world has that choice.
Now I’m off to get properly acquainted with your blog!
I’m so glad you found the courage, Jan!
I think it was the perfect way to post such a simple, loving message. I hope you won’t mind if I copy your idea one day on my own blog?
It’s lovely to hear you are enjoying the journey, I look forward to sharing it with you.
:O)

Hi Dianne, I’d be delighted if you used the idea on your blog. I first saw handwritten notes on Danielle LaPorte’s blog. The idea really called out to me, but for a long time I wasn’t sure how to use it in a ‘Jan’ way!
Then I hit upon the idea of a short letter and that suits me well.
Great to have made this connection with you, Dianne.
Thank you, Jan!
I used your wonderful inspiration in a blog post today, though not in a beautiful, touching way, like yours! I used some notes to blog about projects on Heartmade and it was great to share them, to try something new … and it saved me a ton of time on a very busy day.
So huge thanks, again! And for the link to Danielle’s White Hot Truth!
I’m really glad I arrived here at your wonderful creative space … think it was via a tweet from Joanna Young, so am very thankful for her too! :O)

Forgot to leave you a link, I forgot the comment would link automatically to Words and Pictures instead of Heartmade (I forget where I’m coming from, sometimes!)

I’ve just been to the page, Dianne, and left a comment. What strikes me is that, no matter what the content, there is something engaging about seeing actual real, tangible, done by your own fair hand, writing in a place where you would never expect to see it. We’re so used to typed words that maybe we take a bit more notice of written ones. We’re used to seeing photgraphs of artefacts and even of paintings, but writing and sketching about creating wonderful things strikes an unexpectedly magnificent chord. Thank you again for your wonderful words. x
